Lapalala Wildnerness School Caters to both the youth and adults. Mainly focused on environmental education programmes for the youth, Lapalala offers multiple learning experiences including outreach programmes and tertiary education. Young adults from all around the world come to join these programmes, including South East Asia, UK, USA and West Africa. Tasked with creating and designing an exhibition centre for students to expand their learnings and be inspired by nature, I have curated the concept called 'Natures Labyrinth' which is based on embracing the dynamic beauty of nature, drawing inspiration from the ever-changing seasons. The circular building design reflects the harmony of natural cycles, with the eating area positioned along the edge to offer panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness. The spiral exhibition space at the centre encourages an interactive, immersive journey along the seasonal changes. The presentation space promotes learning, while the pause and reflection areas provide moments of calm. The overall aim is to connect the learners to nature’s rhythms and the environment.
